Visiting renowned Chinese writer Jia Pingwa


During my visit to the esteemed Chinese writer Jia Pingwa, I was granted a unique opportunity to delve into his perspectives on the philosophy of wabi-sabi and art collection. The encounter was profound, offering insights into the appreciation of imperfection and the transience of objects, aligning with the core principles of wabi-sabi, which venerates the flawed, the incomplete, and the modest.


The culmination of our meeting was marked by Mr. Jia's gracious gift—a calligraphy piece with the inscription "Clear Sky," which now serves as a tangible memory of our exchange. This artwork encapsulates the beauty and clarity of the moments we shared, mirroring the clear sky it references—a vast expanse allowing for reflection and grow
