About
My name is Zijian Xu
I have been passionate about art and cultural artifacts since childhood. My artistic journey has particularly focused on the collection and appreciation of ancient Chinese bronzes, and thanks to the guidance of scholars such as Zhou Weirong, the curator of the National Museum of Chinese Coins, I have achieved significant accomplishments in this field. My in-depth research on controversial coins has produced several high-quality papers, which have been reported by numerous media and earned me the national third prize in the 32nd National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition in 2017. In 2018, I loaned my collection to the National Museum of China, received a special invitation, and had the honor of being received by the national president.
In the realm of sustainability, as a United Nations Youth Ambassador, I have participated in many related activities. These experiences have enriched my design practice, enabling me to integrate an understanding of sustainable development into my jewelry design. I have an in-depth understanding of Chinese traditional culture and craftsmanship, especially in traditional materials and jewelry crafts. Passionate about handicrafts, I am dedicated to innovative, interdisciplinary jewelry design using modern sustainable materials.
